Uroš Brkić, an experienced racing driver with an impressive 22-year-long career, is ready to welcome a new season. Over the years, in addition to seven national titles in Serbia, he has stood out by winning the Central European Zone title four times, placing him among the most successful drivers from our country.
“Motorsport is not just a sport for me, but a way of life. Every new race and title is confirmation that passion and dedicated work bring results,” emphasized Brkić, who will compete in the upcoming season behind the wheel of the Italian prototype OSELLA PA 21/S. This car is powered by a centrally mounted Honda K24 engine with a displacement of 2,463 cc and an output of 348 HP at 8,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive. With a weight of just 490 kg, the car boasts an exceptionally favorable power-to-weight ratio.
Brkić began his racing career in 2004 as a junior, driving the legendary Zastava 850, where he finished third in the junior category while racing for AK Floyd from Belgrade. He later competed in various classes – from Yugo cars, through VW Scirocco, Honda Civic models, Renault Clio RS Cup, Golf GTI, all the way to the Polo S2000 and the Norma M20F prototype. He currently races for AK Galax from Belgrade – he has been a member of the same club for the past ten years, and out of a total of seven national titles, he won two back in 2015, when he was also the ESET Endurance Cup champion in circuit racing and CEZ vice-champion in the same discipline. He also holds several national track records.
He noted that, alongside his desire for further victories, he has a broader mission: to improve the quality of motorsport in the region, together with his team.
