Our proud star shines once again at the CEZ race

On the Kroja track in Albania, on a 3,800-meter-long course renowned for its extremely steep ascent, one of the rounds of the FIA Central European Championship was completed. The only Serbian representative, Uroš Brkić – three-time and reigning CEZ champion – finished an impressive third overall, combining times from both runs. Brkić climbed to the top of the P3 class, setting his personal best of 2:21.493 on that configuration. He emphasized how challenging it was to drive in extremely hot weather on a long uphill section, which is technically very demanding on the car – and especially on the driver. “This car is new and is still learning to ‘come of age’ – it has a few ‘teething problems’, but it shows outstanding performance. It requires a constant feel for control and complete concentration,” Brkić said. He added that he will need more time to fully synchronize with the vehicle, as realistically this was his first more serious test in the new car, following technical issues in Split a month ago. He also announced the continuation of the season: over the next three weekends the races will be held in Slovakia, on the Pezinska Baba track, after which races will follow at short intervals.
